Big clearout happening in my household in preparing for the move next week! I'm exhausted right now, but when I needed some inspiration, a letter from my first sponsored child, Mellanie from Manila just popped out of nowhere, which says..
"Do your best and the God will take care of the rest.."
And she goes on to say..
"Someday you forget about me, my name, my voice, who I am and who I am to you but even if you forget about me, just want you to know I won't forget you."
She wrote that at age 17 before graduated in 2012.
This is surreal but every little emotional support is what I need to move on with an insurmountable task ahead, so thought sharing it, but I should hurry up.
Lovely thought from Melanie. Just a thought for your moving day. My mom was a realtor, and said to always put your sheets in your car so you can make up your bed first thing. You'll need it ready for when you crash from exhaustion.

Have you kept in touch with her after she graduated?

Thanks Nancy. We never know what to expect on the day. Unfortunately due to my other commitments I was not active during her sponsorship, so can understand her thinking of me. After she graduated I did try to find her whereabouts through CIMAA – Children International Manila Alumni Association [www.facebook.com/goCIMAA] but they too had no luck. Of course she's my very first child, and we're connected in spirit all the time.

Hi Kye, Thanks for asking. It's only a 10min walk away from my previous home, but a new- build, newly regenerated part of the town. It was incredibly stressful and emotional period of time. And I was homeless for 2hrs between sale & purchase happened simultaneously, but throughout I trusted in Mellanie's sentiment and she was right!
