The biggest of thank yous for all you’ve passed on to the next generation – the sponsor devotees will know what it means to lose a child so dear as Estephanie.
When I heard the news in the night of June 12 my whole world collapsed with a deep shock and a broken heart. She and her family are humble, god loving people you’ll ever meet in your life. Estephanie has been in my care for 4 years and 5 months. It must have been a very difficult decision for them to prematurely leave behind the benefits of sponsorship.
Estephanie's future is worth every sacrifice, and she will always hold a special place in my heart.
You had a very special relationship with Estephanie and her family. I'm sure it will take time to come to terms with this painful loss - I'm so sorry!

It's always hard when a child leaves the program. It happened to me once as well. I just hoped the move happened because it put the family in a position to not need the help any longer and that life was better for them in their new location. Hopefully, that is the case with Estephanie.

I'm beside you man. certainly losing a child is painful. I wish they are going well and they don't need help just because of you and CI.

I’m so sorry your sponsorship with Estephanie has ended Chelaka; you’re such a great sponsor! Let’s hope they moved out of the service area for a great new opportunity! :)

Thank you all. 3yrs ago the family had to abandon their own house (in now designated red zone area of Guatemala City) for their safety and was living with her grandmother for a short period before moved again to rent a place – the last I heard. I don’t know whether they left for a better life or can’t afford to rent anymore (as well as repay their house loan). I’m just concerned for Estephanie’s future.
